Catherine "Kate" D. Osborn

<p>Catherine D. &ldquo;Kate&rdquo; Osborn, 90, of Elkhart passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Elkhart Place, to be reunited with her loving husband, John Wesley Osborn, who preceded her in death on August 8, 2004. She was born on May 23, 1930 in Elkhart to the late George and Fern (Johnson) Curtis.</p> <p>Kate is survived by her loving children, Michael (Jan) Osborn and Christine (David) Platt; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and sister, Donalda (Clay) Frazier. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Terry Miller; sister, Ila Eby; and brother, Gerald Curtis.</p> <p>A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jeremy Sarber officiating. All guests attending the graveside service will be required to wear face masks and follow proper social distancing procedures. Memorial donations may be given to the Humane Society of Elkhart County, 54687 Co Rd 19, Bristol, IN 46507. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. is in care of services</p> <p>Kate worked for Martin&rsquo;s as a meat wrapper for many years before retiring in 1995 and later worked at Meijer&rsquo;s in retail. She was raised in the Lutheran church and enjoyed attending church at the Community Chapel every Sunday with her loving husband, John, when they lived at the Boardwalk Retirement community. Kate was always a very happy and carefree woman with a smile that could brighten anyone&rsquo;s day. Her laugh was also infectious and brought much joy to those around her. Kate will be missed greatly by her loving family and many friends.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
