Ashley Marie Dunn Obituary

Tragically, on Saturday, November 14th, 2020, Ashley Marie (Bolt) Dunn died in a snowmobile accident at the age of 37.

She leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband and best friend, Grant Dunn, and her precious daughters, Madison and Regan. She also leaves behind her mother, Shelley Page, parents-in-law, Carole and Brian Hyndman, sister-in-law, Myra Lowe and her nieces Kailee and Rorie Lowe. Aunts and Uncles - Debra & Colin McMann, Dale & Lorre Bolt, Shelly Bolt and Leanne Kipp. Cousins - Jarrod McMann, Tracy McMann, Kyle Bolt, Tod Bolt, Scott Bolt, Shaun McPherson, Meghan McPherson and their families. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Bette and Denis Bolt, her step-father, Don Page, her uncles, Kevin McPherson and Grady Bolt and her brother-in-law, Trevor Lowe.

Ashley was born in Summerside, PEI. At 6 months of age she moved with her mother to Calgary where she remained until she moved to Thompson. As a child Ashley spent many of her summers with her relatives in Wynyard, Saskatchewan. Many weekends were spent in Eckville with cousins Jarrod and Tracy. These times spent in Wynyard and Eckville gave Ashley the opportunity to develop a close relationship with all of her cousins. These friendships continued through adulthood and were very special to Ashley. She will be deeply missed by all of them.

In 2006 Ashley moved to Thompson, Manitoba to start her life with Grant. The following year they were blessed with their first daughter, Madison. In 2009 their second daughter, Regan was born. Grant and Ashley were married on July 31, 2010 in Las Vegas. They celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary this past summer.

At the time of her death Ashley was employed at the Thompson General Hospital as a ward clerk in the Emergency Room department. This is where she met her closest friends - Tobi, Nicole, Melissa and Liz. They will all miss her terribly. Ashley was the glue that bound them all together. She was always there with an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, or some wine to drink and food to eat on their paint nights. She never judged and always did what she could to make those around her feel better.

Ashley loved to spend time with her family and friends and their families. The time spent together included sitting in the living room visiting, doing puzzles, going outdoors or bike riding. Anything that made her girls happy and allowed her to spend time with others. She was always game for a new thing - skiing, sliding, yoga, shopping, going to concerts and travelling. In her quiet times she loved to read. Her latest passion was indoor plants. What started as one has now grown into 17. Grant and the girls will now be responsible for keeping those suckers alive!

Plans for a viewing and service have had to be altered due to COVID-19 code red restrictions in Manitoba. A private viewing will take place after which the body will be cremated.
