John Harley Cox Obituary

John Harley Cox, 72, passed away on November 20, 2020.  He was born on October 27, 1948 to the late Bo Harley Cox and Curtis Corrine Beasley Cox in Oviedo, Florida.  Harley was a country boy that was raised to work hard, be polite and stick up for what is right. He built his home on family land in Christmas, Florida in 1977. He loved his life there, raising and caring for his horses. Harley was loved by his family and he had much gratitude to all the hospice nurses and caregivers that cared for him.  He was loved by so many and will never be forgotten. He lived life his way.

Harley is survived by his son, Thomas Cox and daughter, Michele Cox; Brother-in-law, Gary Smith; Nieces, Leslie Carter (Weazer) and Julie Smith; Nephew, Wade Smith; Along with Five more great nieces and nephews; His longtime friend and companion, Terri Hickman.  He is predeceased by his parents, Bo and Curtis Cox and sister, Kathryn Elaine Cox Smith.

There will be a visitation on Tuesday evening, November 24th between the hours of 5 and 8 pm at North Brevard Funeral Home.  The graveside service will be on Wednesday, November the 25th at 10 AM at Christmas Cemetery in Christmas, Florida.
