Francis "Frank" J. Hondel
<p> </p> <p>Francis “Frank” J. Hondel, 85, of Reedsburg, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center with his daughter by his side.</p> <p>He was born on November 18, 1935 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of the late Stephen and Edith (Fohey) Hondel. On October 29, 1960 Frank was united in marriage to the love of his life Barbara Zeller. This marriage was blessed with two children. Barb preceded him in death April 30, 2011.</p> <p>Frank was an avid sports fan including Badgers, Brewers, and the Packers. You could hear him yelling at the TV if they weren’t doing well!</p> <p>Survivors include; his daughter Ann (Jeff) Lankey of Elroy, his son Mike (Georgene) Hondel of Wis. Dells, and is also survived by his grandchildren: Jesse (Ben), Josh, Nichole (Jimmy), and Cody (Lindsay), his great-grandchildren: Dameon, Davyn, Brynlee, Ryder, Khloe, Jaxton, Layton, Kennedy and Hartley. He is further survived by his niece Diane (Todd) Mendlik, and his many past co-workers of Viking Village, and past friends of the Park Place Apartments.</p> <p>In addition to his wife Barbara of fifty years, Frank was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, a brother, three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in law, and two nephews.</p> <p>A private graveside service will be held for Frank at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Lyndon Station. Reverend Clayton Elmhorst, Pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church will officiate.</p> <p>The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Reedsburg Area Medical Center for the care they provided to Frank.</p> <p>Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, is assisting the family with arrangements.</p>Obituary
