<p>Mrs. Pearline Gripper Monk entered eternal rest on Thursday evening, November 19, 2020 at Green Valley Medical Center, Greensboro, North Carolina.</p> <p>Mrs. Monk was born in High Point, NC to the late Johnnie and Hallie Gripper on December 8, 1930. She was a graduate of William Penn High School and West Virginia State University. Mrs. Monk was a resident of High Point, NC except for a brief residency in Hartford, Connecticut as an educator. At retirement from the Guilford County School System, she provided daily care for her elderly parents.</p> <p>Her lifelong membership was sustained at Temple Memorial Baptist Church until her declining health would not allow her to attend. Additionally, she was a lifetime member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.</p> <p>Preceding her in death were her husband, George Monk; parents, brothers, Orlando C. Gripper and Donald Ray Gripper, and sister, Mrs. Shirley G. Linton.</p> <p>Surviving relatives who shall forever cherish her memory include: two brothers, Lenon L. Gripper (Miriam) of Lancaster, California and Johnny L. Gripper of Greensboro, NC; devoted in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.</p> <p>A private graveside service will take place on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Carolina Biblical Gardens, Jamestown.&nbsp; Public viewing will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 24th, from 12 noon to 5 p.m..&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Live streaming of services will be offered at link <strong>https://www.facebook.com/Johnsonandsonshplivestream-101153881842644</strong></p> <p>In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Temple Memorial Baptist Church Educational Scholarship Fund.</p>
