Elaine D. Bless, age 98, of Tomahawk, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Ascension Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids. Elaine was born on February 1, 1922 in the town of Spirit to Robert & Anita (Scheller) Smith. She was married to Fredrick Bless on January 31, 1942 in St. Louis, MO. Elaine was a machine operator at a box plant and also worked in the office at Tomahawk Motors. She loved to travel to Europe, Mexico, Hawaii and Alaska. Elaine was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Elaine is survived by her two sons – Douglas (Christel) Bless of Manzanillo, Mexico and Ronald (Susan) Bless of Fairbanks, Alaska; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers - Kermit (Peggy) Smith, Elroy (Margaret) Smith and Wayne (Eloise) Smith. In accordance to Elaine’s wishes, services will be held privately. She will be buried in Greenwood Cemetery.
