In memory of Gerald James Feeney who passed away on November 15th at the age of 88.
After retiring from IBM Canada he moved to Vancouver Island in 1995 and made Qualicum Beach his home. Gerald and Verrall became “Islanders” making new and lasting friendships. He was delighted by being close to the rhythms of nature and the beauty of the Island.He loved to travel,visiting 42 countries, with the Island of Bali being his favorite. He enjoyed meeting and mingling with people of all walks of life, always with the expectation that surprises would be just around the corner. He would return from his travels and enjoy regaling his friends and family with stories of his adventures.
Gerry and Verrall had 57 wonderful years together. He was an exceptional Dad to his two children Martin, and Lesley and a doting grandfather to his “Great and Wonderful Grandson” Hayden . A truly amazing man who adored his family, was an Uncle and friend to many across the country. He led his life with vigor and wanderlust with Verrall by his side and we are now sure he is off on another adventure.
A Celebration of life will take place in the future .
