Rosaura Vazquez Matienzo, 88, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. She was born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico and came to the Ironbound Section of Newark in 1962. Wife of the late Oswaldo Matienzo; devoted and loving mother of Rosa and Carmen Vega, Angela, Carlos, Heriberto, Matthew and Justin Figueroa; also survived by many dear grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The Funeral and Visitation for Rosaura will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 from 8:30 - 10:30 am at the Buyus Funeral Home, 426 Lafayette St., at Wilson Ave, Newark, NJ 07105. Service will be held at 10:30am, Family Pastor officiating. Interment Rosehill Cemetery, Linden, NJ. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend. Due to the restrictions recently placed on occupancy in public spaces by the State of New Jersey in the ongoing efforts to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Rosaura’s funeral arrangements are limited.
