On Monday, November 16th, 2020, Stephen (Steve) Meade passed away at the age of 70. A Vietnam veteran born in Kentucky on July 1st, 1950. He moved his way to Virginia, where he married Brenda Goad, his bowling alley sweetheart, on May 4th, 1974. They raised two daughters, Stephanie and Angela, who each gave them four grandchildren. Steve loved his family more than anything, but also took interest in golf, computers, photography, and amateur radio. Working as a computer programmer for many years, he got along easily with his co-workers with his friendly attitude and smile. Almost anyone who met him instantly liked him. Steve was preceded in death by his father Sam, and his mother Iolene. He is survived by his wife Brenda, their two daughters, Stephanie and Angela, and eight grandchildren: Zach, Sam, TJ, Danny, Harley, Ashlynn, Kaya, and Bracco Jr. He is also survived by his two sisters, Sharon and Maria, and one brother Greg, along with many nieces and nephews. Due to the Covid pandemic, the funeral service will be a private event to limit the number of people to the Governor’s ordinance. However, the funeral home will be offering a live stream of the services that will be accessible through their website, Monday, November 23rd, 2020 at 11am, for those that are unable to attend.
