Suzanne Frederick Obituary

Suzanne Foster Norton Frederick passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020, in Dale Medical Center. She was 86 years old. She had been a resident of Providence Assisted Living in Ozark for the past two years. Before returning to Ozark she had resided in Panama City Beach for many years. A private memorial service will be held for Mrs. Frederick at a later date. Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. Suzanne graduated From Dale County High School and later followed that with classes at Enterprise Junior College. During her lifetime she called several cities home. While residing in Columbus, Georgia she owned an antique shop and was involved in restoration efforts in the historical district. But it was in Denver where she uncovered her lasting passion and talent for painting. Her brilliant colors and impressionistic work won her awards and honors and has been exhibited in shows, festivals, and galleries around the country. Her works are found in many private collections. She was an avid gardener and until her later years kept a garden full of flowers and one of vegetables. Suzanne remained a lovely, gracious lady. She will be sorely missed by family and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Dewitt and Caroline (Kitty) Foster; grandparents, James and Ida Bell Smith; her sister, Mary Mizell Foster; and her oldest son, Jim Norton. She leaves daughters, Rose Mary Levin (Gary) and Suzan Cassell; son, Tom Norton; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild as well as siblings, Fay Hale, Carolyn (Kitten) Kolb, Frances Jorgensen and Amos Foster.
