Donald Asher Obituary

Donald Asher Jr., of Seymour, passed away peacefully at Willow Crossing of Columbus on the night of November 17, 2020 with his daughters by his side. He was 66 years old.

Don entered this life in Brazil, Indiana on April 27, 1954. He was the second born to the loving parents, Donald Sr. and Mary (McCurry) Asher. He grew up in Indianapolis area and this is where he met his future wife. On August 23, 1980 he was united in marriage to Teresa (Day) Asher. This union of over 40 years was blessed with three daughters, Sandra, Heather, and Kimberly. He later moved his family to Seymour because of the friendly area. Don was a member of the Vallonia Baptist Church.

Don was a loving husband, father, and Papa.

Don started out working as a gas attendant before working at Impact Forge, and later became the Apartment manager at Freetown Apartments.

His memories will be cherished by his wife, Teresa, daughters Sandy Baker and her husband Bill of Brownstown, Heather Asher of Seymour, and Kimberly Asher of Brownstown, grandchildren, Chamber Ball, Terrin Ball, Dalton Asher, Jayden Asher, Thomas Toppe, Jeremiah Durham, and Alexiss Durham, two sisters, Juanita Poindexter, and Doris Dexter, and a brother, Randy Asher.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Darryl Asher and Dale Earl Asher.

A funeral service will be conducted at Zabel Funeral Home of Brownstown on Sunday November 22, 2020 at 6:00 pm with Pastor Doug Pogue officiating. Burial will be private.

Friends may call at Zabel Funeral Home of Brownstown after 4:00 pm until time of the service.

Memorials may be written in Don’s name to the Willow Crossing Activities Fund
