<p>Shiela Mae Constance Powell, age 85, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 at Shuksan Healthcare Center in Bellingham.&nbsp; She died of natural causes.&nbsp; Sheila was born July 29, 1935 to Frederick Glen and Mary (Faidley) Constance.&nbsp; After graduating high school, Shiela worked at Tappen Stove Company where she met her future husband, Dalton L. Powell.&nbsp; They married April 26, 1957.&nbsp; The pair had 3 sons and in the late 1960&rsquo;s, settled in Whatcom County, WA.</p> <p>Shiela had a curious nature and was a lifelong learner.&nbsp; She enjoyed reading, creative writing, sharing stories, crafts and playing trivia games.&nbsp; In her later years, her favorite past time was watching game shows and the Seattle Mariners with family.</p> <p>Shiela worked as a caregiver for Visiting Nurse and Lynden Manor and while the career was very fulfilling, her greatest love was her family.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dalton, brother James Constance and stepsister Dixie Vonderahe.&nbsp; She is survived by sons; &nbsp;Michael Powell of Minot, ND, Tom (Tami) Powell of Sedro Woolley, Ted (Laurie) Powell of Bellingham, granddaughters Laycee Powell and Shawna Powell, great grandson Ethan, sister Linda (Alan) Sams of Ormond Beach, FL, brother Blaine (Betsy) Constance of Auburndale, FL, sister in law Dana Constance of Lexington, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Per Shiela&rsquo;s request, no service will be held.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local hospice chapter.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
