A graveside service will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Northwood City Cemetery.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Kay Ann Williams was born May 16, 1944 in Northwood, ND, the daughter of Dudley and LuLu (Lee) Williams. She was raised on her parent&rsquo;s farm in Logan Center, ND. After graduating from Northwood High School, she attended Mayville State College where she received her two-year standard teaching degree. She continued her education at Flagstaff, AZ attending Northern Arizona University, where she received her BS degree in Education. Later, she attended the University of North Dakota, where she received her master&rsquo;s degree in special education. On July 3, 1965, Kay married Vernon W. Thompson. She taught kindergarten at Nathan Twining School on the Grand Forks Air Force Base during the sixties. Vernon and Kay had two daughters: Kari Jo and Tanya; Due to Vernon&rsquo;s war injuries, they moved to Phoenix, AZ and Colorado Springs, CO for VA directed job retaining. Kay taught kindergarten while they lived in Phoenix. When they returned to Northwood, Kay taught school in Aneta, ND and Northwood for 30 years. Vernon died April 29, 1994.</p> <p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Kay was very involved in teaching Sunday School, serving on the church council, serving as president and treasurer of the women&rsquo;s group called WELCA. She was a counselor for the Billy Graham Crusade in Fargo and the Luis Palau Crusade in Grand Forks and Fargo. Kay was the first woman to serve on the Northwood City Council from 1995 &ndash; 2004. She also served as president of the Northwood VFW Auxiliary 2707 and president and treasurer of the District 8 VFW Auxiliary.&nbsp; She also served as president of the Northwood Teachers Association. Kay was involved in the Northwood Hospital and Home 100 Club and the Northwood City Planning Commission.</p> <p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Henry and Kay Case were married July 2, 2001 and made their home in Northwood. Henry and Kay gloried in their &ldquo;golden years&rdquo; by traveling extensively and enjoying their extended family.</p> <p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Kay will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Henry Case, Northwood; daughters: Kari Jo (Terry) Brokke, Fergus Falls, MN; Tanya (Larry) Vaughn, Stillwater, OK; stepchildren: Candis (Mohammed) Qachbal, Tampa, Florida; Patrick Case, Northwood, ND; Sue (Steve) Tolten, Minot, ND; Julie (Rick) Doire, North Smithfield, RI; Kay is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

     Kay Case, 76, of Northwood, ND passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Northwood City Cemetery. 

     Kay Ann Williams was born May 16, 1944 in Northwood, ND, the daughter of Dudley and LuLu (Lee) Williams. She was raised on her parent’s farm in Logan Center, ND.      Henry and Kay Case were married July 2, 2001 and made their home in Northwood. Henry and Kay gloried in their “golden years” by traveling extensively and enjoying their extended family.

     Kay will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Henry Case, Northwood; daughters: Kari Jo (Terry) Brokke, Fergus Falls, MN; Tanya (Larry) Vaughn, Stillwater, OK; stepchildren: Candis (Mohammed) Qachbal, Tampa, Florida; Patrick Case, Northwood, ND; Sue (Steve) Tolten, Minot, ND; Julie (Rick) Doire, North Smithfield, RI; Kay is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
