Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Margaret Siemens on November 15th, 2020 in Houston, BC.

Mom was born September 27, 1937 in Sask., moving to BC in her teens.  This is where she met her husband George.  They started life together in Vanderhoof, where all nine children were born.  In 1972 they moved to Houston and continued to raise their family.  Mom was an excellent cook, and she was a mom to many including many nieces and nephews who she loved as her own.  The door to her home was always open and even with eight kids to feed there was always room at the table and once the grandkids came, the table just got bigger.  Our friends would tell us, you always knew where you stood with Mom.  Her frankness and honesty made her the real thing.

Mom moved to town after dad passed away and spent her later years in Pleasant Valley Village and Cottonwood Manor.  Her final days were spent at the Long Term Care Facility in Houston, where Mom received excellent loving care, which we will always be thankful for.

Mom was predeceased by baby Kathryn and husband George.

She is survived by her children Jean (Gary) Timms, Carol (Brian) Wilson, Ron (Kathy) Siemens, Vic (Birdy) Siemens, Ben Siemens, Stan (Roseanne) Siemens, David (Candice) Siemens, Raymond (Ceri) Siemens Norman (deceased) and Wendy Siemens (loved additions to the family), twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren.
