<p><span style="font-size:22px;"><em><strong>Peggy K. Holmes, nee Muyleart, age 69, of Granite City, IL, born on August 14, 1951 in East St. Louis, IL, died on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 in Fairmont City, IL surrounded by her family.</strong></em></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;"><em><strong>In the early 1970’s, Peggy was a union plasterer and hod carrier out of Staunton, IL. She then finished her career of 19 years at American Steel, Granite City, IL. Peggy enjoyed life to the fullest, she was musically talented, had a knockout voice, and loved to sing. Peggy was also a member of the Women's Auxiliary VFW and Eagles. She loved spending time with family, her great-grandson, and her friends. Peggy was always there when anyone needed her. She was loved and will be missed dearly by many.</strong></em></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;"><em><strong>She was preceded in death by her parents Henry P. and Anna, nee Lenear, Muyleart; and her brothers, Truman Muyleart and Henry P. “Hank” Muyleart, Jr.</strong></em></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;"><em><strong>She is survived by her children, Peggy Holmes, Michelle Rutter and Jason Rutter; her grandson, Eric (Michelle) Holmes; her great-grandson, Logan Ryan Holmes; and her siblings, Lew A. (Cindy) Muyleart, Kathleen J. Eade, Diane G. Muyleart, and Joseph W. Muyleart.</strong></em></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;"><em><strong>Memorials may be made to American Liver Foundation.</strong></em></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;"><em><strong>Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.</strong></em></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;"><em><strong>Funeral Service will be on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Hal Santos officiating.
