James Richard "Ricky" Greeson

James Richard “Ricky” Greeson, age 70, of  Bethlehem, GA, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020.  He was born on August 06, 1950 in Duluth, GA.  Ricky worked at Scott’s Antique Market. His greatest love in life was his wife and family, his four legged babies and making new friends. He was an avid sports fan, the Braves, Falcons, and hockey. He had an extensive collection of sports memorabilia and was a lover of all things John Wayne.  He was Baptist by faith and attended New Genesis Baptist when he was able. Ricky is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lois Carnes Greeson; children: Candy Renee Taylor and family, Richard Greeson and his wife, Ashley, Mendy Elliott and her husband, Gary, Candice Greeson and Derrick Pete; daughter-in-law: Nancy Greeson Wood; grandchildren:  Phillip Elliott, Sarah Starnes and her husband, Brian, Bradley Elliott, Dallas Wood, Conner Wood, Nash Wood; great-grandchild: Kaden Starnes; mother:  Dorothy Bentley Harmon;  brothers: Ronnie Greeson, Donnie Greeson and his wife, Shannon, Tommy Greeson and his wife, Melanie; sister: Rita Hope and her husband, Charles; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Peggy and Joe Cannady, Sherry and Steve Jones, Darlene Carnes; nephews: Stoney Shoemaker and his wife, Tammy, Shannon Shoemaker and his wife, Alicia; numerous other nieces,  nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son: Jason Bradley Greeson; father: James Greeson; sisters-in-laws: Sandy Shoemaker, Terri Carnes, Carolyn Bailey; niece: Stormey Shoemaker. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 12:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel in Douglasville and again on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. till service time. A funeral service will be held on Saturday November 21, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in Hightower’s Chapel with Reverend Lloyd Latham officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens. Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, we encourage everyone to make the best decisions to remain safe.
