Christopher Lane Bascom

Christopher Lane Bascom, age 41 of Jensen, Utah passed away of natural causes on November 17, 2020 in Jensen, Utah.  He was born December 26, 1978 in Vernal, Utah to Kenny and Beth Bascom of Jensen, Utah.

Chris is the father of three children; son Dallas (Kali) Bascom of Vernal, daughter Madilyn Bascom of Salt Lake City, Utah, and son Tad Bascom of Salt Lake City, Utah, and grandson Jameson Bascom of Vernal.  

Chris had the biggest heart and greatest personality.  He felt his greatest accomplishment in life was his children and grandson.  They were the light of his life. He was known for his sense of humor and his impersonation of John Wayne was well known.  Chris loved to make everyone laugh.

Chris had a great love for his family, fishing, camping, canoeing on the Green River and spending time with his family at their cabin.  Chris will be deeply missed.  "Rest easy Pard."

Chris is survived by his children, parents; Kenny and Beth, brother; Jeffery (Marlayna) Bascom, sisters;Jamie Burton and Malia (Shawn) Stringham, grandmother; Elaine Bascom, and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Chris is preceded in death by his grandparents Billie and LJ Wilson, grandfather Boyd Bascom, and many cousins.

Graveside services will be held Monday, November 23, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Jensen Cemetery.  Viewings will be held Sunday evening from 6-8 pm and one hour prior to services at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
