Essia Barrack Gill of Lancaster, Virginia passed away November 16, 2020. She was born September 21, 1928 in Northumberland County, Virginia. She was the youngest of five children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman S. Gill, Sr. She was a farmer's wife for 54 years and loved to work in her flowers and vegetable garden. She was a retired school bus driver for Lancaster County Schools for 27 years. She is survived by her children, Sandra Walker; Linda Mothershead (Fred); Herman "Sandy" Gill, Jr. (Eunice) and John Gill; grandchildren, Lewis Walker (Vickie), Wayne Mothershead (Hope), Curtis Walker (Emmy), Brian Mothershead (Cameron), Sandy Gill and Thomas Gill; great grandchildren, Jacob Mothershead, Kendall Walker, Dallas Walker, Natalie Mothershead, Austin Walker, Easton Mothershead and Nash Mothershead. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a. m. Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment will follow the service at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery, Alfonso. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1712 Lara Road, Lancaster, VA 22503.
