He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Evanston; and mother, Caroline Nickolich Evanston.<br /> Alan is survived by loving wife, Ruth Evanston; children, Ann Evanston of San Pablo, CA, Carey Wakely of Everrett, WA, Jeremy Evanston of Humbolt, CA, Jonathan Evanston of Denver, CO; and 3 stepchildren, Naomi Lueras, Nicole Miller, and Jesse Rael.
