Barbara Welch Arthur, 72 of Spencer died November 15, 2020 at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg. She was a retired nurse and was a member of the Steele Hollow Community Church. Preceded in death by: Parents Orville & Emily Perdue Deal, her brothers Earl Deal, Donald Deal, Johnny Deal, and sister Anna Painter. Surviving Are: Children: Delores Melton of Satellite Beach, FL, Jeff (Lora) Welch of Spencer, and David (Allison) Welch of Spencer. Brothers: Gary (Judy) Deal of Henshaw, WV, Randy (Becky) Deal of Toneys Branch, WV, Danny (Barbara) Deal of Danville, WV, and Ricky Deal of Henshaw, WV Sister: Sandra Kay (Charles) Dickens of Eunice, WV Grandchildren: Maria (Garet) Shamblin, Cory Church, Bruce Welch, Chase Welch, Jacob Welch, Kayleigh Welch and Stephanie (Jake) Burdette, Great-Grandchildren: Anneliese, Briar, Jaxon, Ember, Dixie, Huntleigh, Jensyn, Maelynn and Abella. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday November 19, 2020 at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet with Rev. David Clark officiating. There will be no graveside service following the funeral but she will be buried in Michael Cemetery, Prenter.
