Doug Finamore Denton Obituary

The passing of Douglas Denton occurred Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born July 17, 1930 in Clarks Corner, NB he was the son of the late James and Annie (Campbell) Denton. Doug was truly a remarkable husband, father, & grandfather, and a friend to all that knew him. Doug will be missed by family, friends and business associates. Doug provided excellent customer service in the freight business and Denton’s Bottle Exchange since 1967 in partnership with his loving wife, Lena. Survived by his loving wife, Lena (Lynch) Denton of 65 years; daughters, Nancy Denton (Fred Miller), Judy Anderson (Jim) and Pam Lockhart - Denton (John); grandchildren, Gregory, Beverley and Lindsy; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Keith and Murray (Holly); sisters, Bernice (Ed) and Madelene; special friend, Alton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Doug was predeceased by sons, Ivan and Brian Denton; a brother, Lloyd; a sister, Gail. A graveside service will take place 2:00PM Thursday, November 19, 2020 from Saint Bridget’s Cemetery, Hardwood Ridge, NB. For those who wish, donations made to Saint Bridget’s Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
