John Kennedy of Nanuet, NY passed away on November 15th, 2020 after a long and valiant battle with brain cancer. John is survived by wife Ann, son John, daughter Caileen, mother Ellen (Nell), brother James (Frances) and sister Joan Corrigan (James). John was predeceased by his father James Kennedy and brother Patrick. John was born in Brooklyn in 1957 and raised in The Bronx, NY. He was a retired NYPD officer, a job he loved and was proud to be a member of. Viewing will be held at the Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home in Pearl River, NY, from 4:00pm - 8:00pm on Wednesday, November 18th and a Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Aedan’s Church in Pearl River on Thursday November 19th at 10am. Internment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Rose Digangi Brain Cancer Foundation, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.
