Reta Anderson
Hodgdon – Reta M.(Brown) Anderson, 83 passed away on November 13, 2020 and now she is in heaven with Jesus and her love ones that went before her. Born March 25, 1937 in Woodland, she was the daughter of Miles and Elnora (Watson) Brown. Reta was a very caring and loving wife, Momma, and Grammy. She loved to bake for her neighbors, shop with her daughters and friends. She worked at many local restaurants and worked at the Washburn Elementary School serving lunch to the children. She also worked as a caregiver, providing love and care to them all. She enjoyed spending the winters in Zephyrhills, Florida. She is survived by her husband of 64 years Gordon Anderson Sr. of Hodgdon, three children Gordon Anderson Jr and wife Dawn of New Limerick, Tamria (Anderson) Maynard and husband Fred of Washburn, Connie (Anderson) Barnes and husband Richard of Kathleen, Ga., six grandchildren Joshua, Jill, Krista, Liza, Casey, and Christina, five great grandchildren, two sisters Nellie Langley of Brewer and Mavis Williams of Woodland, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Due to covid-19, a private family service will be held on Tuesday November 17, at 12:00 at Bowers Funeral Home at 10 Water Street Houlton. Interment will be held in Hodgdon Cemetery.
