<p>Antonio Leon Singleton &ldquo;AJ&rdquo;&nbsp;</p> <p>was born on April 16, 2002 in Orangeburg County to Mrs. Cindy Myers-Simmons and the late&nbsp;</p> <p>Antonio Jermaine Singleton. He was called into eternal rest Monday, November 9, 2020.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>AJ, as he was affectionately called, attended the public schools of Richland County in Columbia, SC, and graduated from Spring Valley High School with the Class of 2020. While in high school, he ran track with the Blythewood Blasters Track and Field Club, which inspired his sister Destiny to pursue track as well.&nbsp; He participated in Air Force JROTC and briefly attended Midlands Technical College in Columbia, SC. AJ was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Bowman, SC. where he attended with his family.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>AJ was preceded in death by his father, Antonio Jermaine Singleton, and his uncle, Leon Myers, Jr.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <p>He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his parents Desmond and Cindy Simmons of the home; three loving sisters Bre&rsquo;Asia Simmons and Destiny Simmons of Columbia, SC, and Jesmon Simmons of Orangeburg, SC; two brothers Jayden Griffin of Columbia, SC and Ashton McKnight of Greenville, SC; his doting grandparents Leon and Diana Myers of Santee, SC, and Patricia Singleton and Eddie James of Santee, SC; great-grandparents Lucky Mae Myers of Vance, SC, Mary McCord and Pernell Elnora James of Santee, SC; four aunts Lynette Singleton of Santee, SC, Ashley James of Lexington, SC, Angela Reed of Jersey City, NJ, and Shanda Simmons of Bowman, SC; two uncles Christopher James of Santee, SC and Malcolm Simmons of Bowman, SC.&nbsp; Two special brothers Devontae Shivers and Jayontae Shivers of Santee, SC; three special aunts Willie Mae Thompson and Jennifer McCord of Santee, SC, and Rashonda Williams of Orangeburg, SC; Godmother LaQuyin Brock; two special friends Joshua Anderson and Raekwon Horton of Columbia, SC; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.</p> <p>Visitation will be held from 3:30 until 8:00 Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Glover&#39;s Funeral Home Chapel.</p> <p>Burial will be held at Chapel Hill Baptist Church in&nbsp;Santee, S.C.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Antonio Leon Singleton “AJ” 

was born on April 16, 2002 in Orangeburg County to Mrs. Cindy Myers-Simmons and the late 

Antonio Jermaine Singleton. He was called into eternal rest Monday, November 9, 2020.

 

AJ, as he was affectionately called, attended the public schools of Richland County in Columbia, SC, and graduated from Spring Valley High School with the Class of 2020. While in high school, he ran track with the Blythewood Blasters Track and Field Club, which inspired his sister Destiny to pursue track as well.  He participated in Air Force JROTC and briefly attended Midlands Technical College in Columbia, SC. AJ was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Bowman, SC. where he attended with his family. 

 

AJ was preceded in death by his father, Antonio Jermaine Singleton, and his uncle, Leon Myers, Jr.

Visitation will be held from 3:30 until 8:00 Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Glover's Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be held at Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Santee, S.C.
