Raymond A. Young Obituary

Raymond A. Young, 79, of Wellington, died Friday, November 13, 2020. Born on April 3, 1941 in South Bend, IN, he was the son of the late George and Martha Young. In 1963 Ray joined the United States Air Force where he became an air traffic controller. He moved with his family to Wellington in 1985.  

Ray worked at the FAA post in Oberlin for many years. He had been a member of the Wellington Eagles. Ray was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching NASCAR racing. Most of all Ray cherished spending time with family, especially playing games with his children and grandchildren.  

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia Young; children Stacy (Ken) Sword, of Wellington, and Troy Young, of Detroit, MI; grandchildren Kenny II, Blake, Kayla, and Hunter; and great-grandson Sawyer; sisters, Martha Kelly and Fran Stoll. Ray was preceded in death by siblings Ronnie and Sharon.
