Billy Ratliff Sr.

<p>Billy Joe Ratliff Sr. was born on April 9, 1942 in Waco, Texas to Johnnie Mae and Henry Ratliff.</p> <p>He attended Carver High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the Army which he served his time.</p> <p>He was employed at L&amp;L Sam and Veterans Affairs as a Nurse which he retired.</p> <p>Billy married Ruth Clara Mae Duran on October 10, 1967 and to this union three children were born.</p> <p>Many years later he joined Greater New Light Missionary Baptist Church in Waco, Texas. He was a faithful member and Deacon. He loved to be apart of all the church activities especially Men&rsquo;s Day.</p> <p>He loved his family cooking, bbq, fishing, football and picking pecans.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Henry Ratliff; sister, Addie Ratliff; niece, Kenya Ratliff; daughter, Judy Reed Ratliff; nephews, Derrick Lewis and Boland Ratliff and a grandson, Kendall Ratliff.</p> <p>Billy Joe Ratliff Sr. a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather and Uncle will be truly missed in so many ways.</p> <p>He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Ruth Ratliff; sons, Billy Ratliff Jr. and Cedrick Ratliff; grandchildren, Erica Chappell (Jay&#39;Ericka Hampton and Unique Nealy); Terrance Sr. and Sabrina Ratliff (Terrance Jr, Ezekiel and Xavier Ratliff); Kamari Ratliff; Olivia Ratliff (Adaya and Arlo Ratliff); Tina Ratliff (Zariyah, Taniyah, Kiasia and DeLeon Whiteside); niece, Felecia Ratliff; nephews, Keith Hall and Brian Ratliff; his best friend, Wyknoff McAdams and a host of relatives and friends.</p>
