<p>On Monday, November 2, 2020, Linda Beaty, loving mom and &ldquo;Grammy&rdquo; passed away at the age of 69.</p> <p>Linda was born on August 15, 1951 in Sioux City, Iowa to Theordore and Elizabeth (Bartle) McColley.</p> <p>After completing her LPN degree at Bellingham Technical College, she went on to work in the Bellingham School District working in the special education classroom and later at St. Francis nursing home and Merrill Gardens memory care.&nbsp; After a career change in 2000, she was employed by Whatcom County where she made numerous friends and was known for her dry sense of humor.&nbsp;</p> <p>Linda had a big heart and a passion for helping others.&nbsp; She excelled as a nurse, earning high praise from employers, coworkers and families.&nbsp; She loved music and could often be heard humming her favorite tunes.&nbsp; She also enjoyed playing card games and rummy tiles with family.</p> <p>Linda was a loving mom who taught her kids the value of helping others who were less fortunate, especially other children.&nbsp; She adored her grandchildren, spoiling them often.</p> <p>Linda was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Bonnie.&nbsp; She is survived by her mother, brother, sister, 2 daughters, 2 sons in law, 3 grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews.&nbsp;</p>

On Monday, November 2, 2020, Linda Beaty, loving mom and “Grammy” passed away at the age of 69.

Linda was born on August 15, 1951 in Sioux City, Iowa to Theordore and Elizabeth (Bartle) McColley.
