1965-2020

Gerald Jerry Baca, age 54, a resident of Belen, NM, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church and the Moose Lodge. Gerald enjoyed being with his family and loved the L.A. Chargers.

Gerald was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Baca; father-in-law, Tony Padilla Jr.; aunts, Carmella Romero, and Martha Garcia; uncles, Venancio Baca, and Mike Baca; and brother-in-law, Jake Tenorio.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirlee; children, Gerald Baca, Gynelle Garcia (Rob) and Carlos Chavez; parents, Benjamin and Bertha Baca; grandchildren, Melody, Cita, Natalie Bubba and Damien; sisters, Monica (Joe) Abeyta, Debra (Jake) Tenorio; Lizzy (Lorenzo) Ortiz; mother-in-law, Florela Padilla; and sisters-in-law, Catherine Padilla, Paula (Gerald) Solano and Tina Bibiano. Gerald is also survived by nieces and nephews, Jacob, Yvette, Mariah Tenorio, Jason and Alexys Tenorio, Lawrence and Lance Ortiz, Aaron, Brandyn, Aaron and Tori Solano, Nancy Saiz, Gabby Bibiano, Timothy Sedillo, Emmanuel Aragon and godson, Xzavion Montoya.

All services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Thursday, November 19, 2020, beginning with a rosary at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.  Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks are required and social distancing must be maintained.

Readings will be given by Paula Solano and Tina Bibiano. Gifts will be presented by Catherine Padilla and Lizzy Ortiz and Eulogy will be read by Brian Valencia.

Pallbearers are Jacob Tenorio, Jason Tenorio, Rick Quinonez, Alex Montoya, Aaron Solano, Timothy Sedillo, Lance Ortiz, and Lawrence Ortiz. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carlos Chavez, Gynelle Garcia, and Gerald Baca.
