Gertrude Slusser, 97, of Francesville, formerly of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Parkview Haven Retirement Home in Francesville.

She was born on May 5, 1923 in Cass County, Indiana and was the daughter to the late Parker and Ruth (Sherman) Slusser.

Gertrude was director of Child Evangelism for many years and lead several Good News Clubs.  She was a teacher for the Logansport Community School Corporation for 24 years, she retired in 1987. She was a member of New Life Alliance Church and the Indiana Retired Teachers Association.

She is survived by two sisters in laws, Dorothy Slusser and Doris Slusser, both of Logansport; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and one great-great niece.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Wilson, Evelyn Colsten; and two brothers, Allen Slusser, Ralph Slusser.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Ed Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Ball Hill Cemetery, Cutler, IN.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.
