Jacob Maxwell Love Obituary

Jacob Maxwell Love, 20, of Wheaton Illinois, formerly Upper Arlington, Ohio. Jacob was born January 31, 2000 in Columbus, OH and passed away from Leukemia on November 8, 2020 peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. Jacob is the beloved son of Kyle and Ami Love; cherished brother of Morgan (Paige) & Nathan; loved grandson of Sandy (late Robert) Wagner and Fern & Lloyd Love; fond nephew of Chris & Pam Wagner and Kendra & Rick Hartman; loving cousin of many as well as extended family, friends and his incredible dog Zeus, his companion and certified emotional support 105 pound English Bulldog. Jacob was a 2018 graduate of Wheaton North High School and a member of the Track and Field Team & Photography Club. He was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes as well. It was Jacob’s wish to pursue a career as a travel agent, where he was interning with Southern World Travel Agency and specializing in New Zealand, Australia and Fiji. Jacob had a strong passion for cars, especially his brand new orange Mustang GT with black racing stripes. He chose orange as this is the color representing Leukemia. The racing stripes were to let everyone know that he chose to live life in the fast lane. He was an avid watch collector and dedicated sports fan. He loved The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Blackhawks dearly. Jacob was always very strong in his faith from a young age. He battled his disease for over 3 years, never complaining or giving up. Simply giving it over to God and letting God’s will be done. One of the last words he spoke to us was “It’s ok, everything happens for a reason”. He was a kind and gentle person that always had time for others, even when he was very ill. It was said about Jacob that “he never met a stranger.” He was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin & friend and will be deeply missed by those as well as many others who’s lives he touched. Visitation will be Sunday November 15, 2020 from 1 to 6 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home 430 E. Roosevelt Rd. Wheaton, IL 60187. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church 310 S. Wheaton Ave, Wheaton, IL 60187. Please meet at church.
