Grace Irene (Kirkpatrick) Brown, age 87, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 11:00 pm on Monday, November 9, 2020, at Washington Nursing Center. She was born in Worthington, Indiana on June 8, 1933, the daughter of Eph Lagonia Kirkpatrick and Mami Cecil (Flynn) Kirkpatrick. Grace attended Worthington Jefferson Schools and had worked at Kellers Aluminum Chair Factory in Linton. Grace enjoyed to read, go to yard sales and doing laundry.

She is survived by her children, Stephen (Cathy) Brown of Ellettsville, Sheryl Smith of Linton, Debra (David) Ramsey of Bruceville, Tami (Jerry) Tipton of Verdigris, OK, grandchildren, Craig Brown, Jayson Smith, Shane Smith, Aaron Smith, Amy Ramsey, Joshua Ramsey, Jeremy (Lanie) Tipton, Bethany (Alex) Conaway, Hunter (Erica) Henderson, Alex Wolfe, great-grandchildren, Garrett Brown, Dalton Brown, Caden Smith, Graicen Smith, Lailey Smith, Briley Smith, Jensen Tipton, Cole Conaway, Jayden (Siara) Ramsey, Maggie Ramsey, Makenna Ramsey, a baby Tipton on the way, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Earl "Brownie" Brown, siblings, Pearl Nation, Hess Kirkpatrick, Raymond "Slim" Kirkpatrick, William "Bill" Kirkpatrick, Betty Sparks, Bernice Campbell, Joan Rose, Mona Kay Irons, Olive Tackett, brothers and sisters in law, Leona Kirkpatrick, Rosemary Kirkpatrick, James Sparks, Myron Campbell, Jack Rose, Bob Irons, Kermit Tackett, and one grandson, David Matthew Ramsey.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 13, 2020, at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home, 140 East Vincennes Street, Linton. Reverend David Ramsey will officiate. Burial will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be 12:00 PM until the time of service on Friday, at the funeral home.
