Presiliana Zamora Sisneros

SISNEROS, PRESILIANA ZAMORA- Presiliana Zamora Sisneros was called to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 92 on Monday,November 9, 2020.  Presiliana was born July 20, 1928 in Lincoln, New Mexico to Vidal S. and Rita Benavidez Zamora, both of whom have preceded her in death.   She is now eternally reunited with her loved ones, and in her words “sleeping with the angels”.

Those beloved by Presiliana who have also preceded her in death are son Francisco Trujillo; husband, Ben Sisneros; sister, Grace Z. Gutierrez; brothers, Roman Zamora and Alberto Zamora.

Presiliana attended public schools in Lincoln, NM.  She was a strong-willed woman with a determined personality who spent most of her adult life as a cattle rancher there in Lincoln.  She and Ben moved to California for a period of time, returning to New Mexico and then retired in Dexter where she became a homemaker.   She found solace and joy in the creativity of her hand work which included sewing, quilting, and most often crocheting.   She was quite eager to teach the art of crochet to the young and old alike. Presiliana embraced her Catholic faith as she continued to pray daily to her heavenly father.

Presiliana is survived by her sisters, Arsenia Flores of Roswell, Mary Helen Zamora of  Oklahoma, and Theresa Matta and husband Armando of Dexter. Stepsons Raymond Sisneros, Eddie Sisneros, Adrian Sisneros and wife Dana, Ronnie Sisneros and wife Velia, John Sisneros and wife Tina. Stepdaughters Christine Sisneros, Monica Torrez and husband Raymond. Additionally, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will commence at 10:00 AM, Thursday November 12, 2020 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. The Holy Rosary will be recited beginning at 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM.

Presiliana will be laid to rest at Capitan Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
