Mary Duarte
<p>Mary (Paraskos) Duarte, age 78, of Andover formerly a resident of Dracut for 58 years, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2020. Born in Lowell in 1942 to the late James (Demetrios) and Joyce (Zoe) (Hantzes) Paraskos. </p><p><br></p><p>Mary graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 1986 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Prior to her retirement in 2004, she worked as an Accountant for Whaleco in Lawrence, MA. She enjoyed spending time reading, caring for her grandchildren and family and especially her beloved dog, Spencer. </p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her husband Orlando Duarte, with whom she celebrated 60 years of marriage on September 4, 2020, and two children; Susan Falvey and her partner Rion Foley of Dracut, and Stephen Duarte and his partner Caroline Abreu of West Newbury. Also survived by her twin grandchildren; Aiden and Caitlyn Falvey of Dracut and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son-in-law Stephen Falvey of Dracut.</p><p><br></p><p>Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Service on Thursday, November 12th at 11:30am at the HOLY TRINITY GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH, 62 Lewis Street, Lowell. Interment in Westlawn Cemetery. To ensure the safety of all, social distancing measures will be in place and face coverings kindly required.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116.</p>Obituary
