Mr. Mike R. Herbert, age 66, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born in Newberry, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Allen Frank Herbert and the late Virginia Hair Herbert.  He was a member of Hannah AME Church.  Mr. Herbert was a U. S. Marines veteran.

Surviving are his children, Kayla Mathis of Columbia, SC; Precious Herbert of North Charleston, SC; Jason Herbert of Silverstreet, SC and Kavard Wilson of Columbia, SC; sisters, Betty H. Lyles of Pomaria, SC; Thelma Herbert of Lexington, SC; brothers, James F. and John E. Herbert both of Prosperity, SC; Raymond, Paul and Calvin Herbert all of Newberry, SC; five grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will on conducted on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC.  All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.

Public viewing will be on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 2:00 PM -5:00 PM at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.
