Obituary

Timothy John Howard, of Barrington/Inverness, passed away on November 7, 2020 at the age of 63 after a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).

He was born July 23, 1957 in Chicago, the son of John and Anita (deceased) Howard.  He grew up and lived in the suburbs of Schaumburg and Barrington, having graduated from Barrington High in 1975.

Tim will be remembered by those who knew him as a soft-spoken, simple, and kind man. His faith was unending as he never missed a chance to attend Mass. Tim was a detail-oriented and talented carpenter and general contractor, while also dedicating his time as a member of the Barrington Lions Club for years.  Tim never had a second thought of grabbing his tool belt to help a neighbor or someone in the community with any labor or home construction needs.

In addition to his loving wife, Mary, he is survived by his sons, Tim, Joey (Kim) and Chris (Olivia) Howard; his siblings, Wendy (Ken) Kaiser, Amy Howard, Betsy (Frank) Addelia and Emily (Brian) Patterson; his sister-in-law, Nancy (Bill) Hartwig; brother-in-law, Jim (Nancy) Michael; his many nieces and nephews; and his dear friends, Georgene Farman, Jim Kaufman and many others.

Due to Covid-19, the funeral Mass and burial will be held privately for Tim’s family.  There will be a larger Celebration of Life gathering in the future.

In lieu of flowers,  donations in Tim’s memory may be made to either: CurePSP at 1216 Broadway, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10001 or online at psp.org/iwanttohelp/ways-to-give/
