On November 7, 2020, Roderick Wayne Spivey, a loving husband and father of three children, passed away at the age of 76. A Memorial Visitation Service will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at Rose and Graham Funeral Home, 301 W. Main Street Benson, NC 27504.

            Wayne and Brenda Spivey were married for 51 years and blessed with nine grandchildren. He served our country in the United States Navy upon the USS Norris Navy vessel, and was an engineer at Rockwell International in Raleigh for 45 years. Wayne had a passion for fishing, hunting, and was known for his quick wit to make people laugh.

            Surviving include his wife of 51 years, Brenda Campbell Spivey; children, Angela Williams and husband, Garner of Georgia, Shannon Howard and husband, Norman of South Carolina, Joseph Wayne Spivey and wife, Amanda of Henderson, NC; grandchildren, Billy, Julia Rae, Brandon, Justin, Jordan, Julia Claire, Sydney, TJ, and Elijah; brother, Aubrey Spivey and wife, Bessie of Wilson, and their children Bill and Rebecca.

                         In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
