Dessie Nell (Combs) Curd, 80, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, formerly of McRae, Arkansas, passed from this life and into the arms of Jesus on November 6, 2020.  Dessie was one of eleven children born to Edna and Manson Combs on December 23, 1939  in Greenbrier, Arkansas.  Dessie worked for many years in factories, retiring from Remington in Lonoke, Arkansas after 28 plus years. 

Dessie leaves behind to treasure her memory a daughter, Tresea Ford (Tim); a grandson, Keith Curd; two great grandchildren, Kristy and Tristen Curd; sisters Fay Keathley, Nettie Evans, Juanita Jones (Glen), Shirley Milam, Reva Nichols, Patsy Combs, Junior Combs (Janice) and Marilyn Mingues (JC), and many nieces and nephews, 

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Curd, son Marlon Curd, sister Vida Jackson, and brother Bud Combs.

Viewing for Dessie is Monday, November 9, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.  Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Weir Cemetery, McRae, due to Covid 19.  Services will be officiated by Rev. Gerald Hicks.
