<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Winifred O. &ldquo;Winnie&rdquo; Tressler, 80, of Bellefonte, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the Wynwood House at Salem Hill Haven in Spring Mills. Born on May 28, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Theodore &ldquo;Jack&rdquo; Roosevelt Shope and Sarah Catherine (Kreighbaum) Shope. She was married to Donald Tressler who survives in Bellefonte.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Winnie attended the Lock Haven High School. She was a Nursing Aid at Centre Crest Nursing Home in Bellefonte, retiring in 2002 after 30 years of service.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Winnie was a member of the Bellefonte VFW Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Winnie is survived by her husband, four children: Scott A. Lucas of Milesburg, Thomas A. Lucas of State College, Sherry L. Showers Breon of Milesburg, and Dianna L. Meckley and her husband, William, Jr, of Centre Hall; nine grandchildren: Brent Meckley and his wife, Lindsay, Brandy Meckley, Braden Meckley, Angie Hockenberry and her husband, Matthew, Heather King, Chris Showers, Luke Showers and his wife, Chelsey, Sara Lucas, and Benjamin Lucas, and nine great grandchildren, Brent (lindsay),&nbsp;Brandy, and Braden Meckly, Angie (Matthew) Hockenberry, Heather King, Chris Showers and Luck (Chelsey) Showers, Sara Lucas and Benjamin Lucas.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Winnie is also survived by four step children: Donald Tressler, Jr and his wife, Denise, of Bellefonte, Eric Tressler, and his wife, Hope, of Bellefonte, &nbsp;Jody Reish and her husband, Samuel, of Howard, and Michelle Elnitski and her husband, Jeff, of Bellefonte, and two sisters: Jean Girton of Jersey Shore and Lucinda Law of Somerset.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Along with her parents, Winnie was preceded in death by two husbands, Allan Lucas, and Harold Reichert and by one brother, John Shope.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Visitation will be on Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 10-11am followed by a memorial service at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home in Howard with Pastor Robert Dornan officiating. Winnie will be laid to rest privately at Schenck&rsquo;s Cemetery in Howard. Following CDC recommendations, social distancing is encouraged, and face coverings will be required at all services</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Hope United Methodist Church, 1089 E College Ave, Bellefonte, PA 16823.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Arrangements have been entrusted to Kader-Neff Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 135 Main St. Howard.      Winifred O. “Winnie” Tressler, 80, of Bellefonte, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the Wynwood House at Salem Hill Haven in Spring Mills. Born on May 28, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Theodore “Jack” Roosevelt Shope and Sarah Catherine (Kreighbaum) Shope. She was married to Donald Tressler who survives in Bellefonte.
