Jackie R. Strickland – age 72 of Vonore passed away Wednesday, November 04, 2020 at his home, the same family property where he was born. Jackie worked for the City of Vonore for many years. He enjoyed watching Westerns, Cops and the news. He loved sports and “wheeling and dealing” in automobiles. Jackie is preceded in death by his parents, Butch and Faye (Self) Strickland; great-grandson, Bentley Crowden; brothers, Charles Strickland and Tommy Strickland. Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Teresa and John Crowden, Angie Willix; grandchildren, Jonathan & Whitney Crowden, Elizabeth and Britton Crowder, Jessica Willix, Aprille and Jacob Oliver; great-grandchildren, Emma Crowden and Catalina Oliver; mother of their children, Barbara Kirkland; sisters and brother-in-law, Frankie & Cara McLemore, Barbara Jean Strickland; brothers and sister-in-law, Jerry and Wanda Strickland, Douglas and Louise Strickland; sister-in-law, Carolyn Strickland; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Yo and Robbie McDaniel; special four-legged friend, Bailey “Little Girl”. A private service to honor and remember Jackie will be held at a later date.
