Theodore Asideu Awua, Jr. (lovingly known as Teddy) went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at the age of 43 after a three year long battle with brain cancer. Teddy was born to Theodore Asideu Awua, Sr. and Linda Carol Awua on Tuesday, May 24, 1977 in Buffalo, NY. He is the oldest of four boys. Teddy met his wife, Marion in 1995 at Osbourn High School in Manassas, VA. They married on Thursday, July 1, 1999 and went on to have four children; Gabrielle Sarah, Emma Grace, Theodore Asideu, III (Trey), and Leah Renee. Teddy has been a devout husband and loving father. He enjoyed vacationing with family and coaching the girls’ soccer teams for years. In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband and father, Teddy also spent his life sharing the gospel and his love of the Lord through song with his longtime friends in ACH Accord Ministries. The Awua family joined Word Alive Church International in 2000 under Bishop Wesley T Cherry, Sr. Throughout his life and until the very end, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. Teddy was preceded in death by his son, Trey and his late Father-in-Law, John Wilkinson, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Marion Awua; his children, Gabrielle Sarah, Emma Grace and Leah Renee; his parents, Theodore Asideu Awua, Sr. and Linda Carol Awua; his brothers, Louis Samuel Felix Awua, Mathew Isaac Awua (and spouse, Katie) and Joseph Styman-Boudry Awua (and spouse, Thathia); his nieces and nephew, Jaelynne Wilkinson, Apani Adwoa Asiedu Awua and Joseph Styman-Boudry Awua, Jr. (JJ); his Mother-in-Law, Shelby Savin (and spouse, Bill); and his brother-in-law, John Wilkinson, Jr. (and domestic partner, Howard Pond).
