Mr. Luther Thomas, Sr. was born on April 10, 1939 the son of the late Pearl Calhoun Thomas and Zeffie Thomas. He was born in Clio, SC and retired from the United States Army. He departed this life on November 2, 2020 at his home in Clio, SC surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by, but not limited to: his loving wife, Mildred Robinson Thomas of the home; his son, Luther Thomas, Jr., Columbia, SC; his daughters, Letitia Matthews Thomas, Lake Charles, LA; Michelle Lisa Thomas, New Orleans, LA; his stepson, Derek Robinson, Clio, SC and one brother, Pearlie Howard Thomas, Sr., Clio, SC. Service will be held Sunday, November 8, 2020 - 1:00 p.m. on the exterior of Old Clio United Methodist Church in Clio, SC at 2741 Hwy No. 9 East - Clio, SC 29525. Everyone is asked to wear masks and exercise social distancing. Interment will take place on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 in the Fort Jackson Veteran Cemetery located in Columbia, SC.  Tune into Glory 98.5 FM Radio each night at 7:30 p.m. for any updates.
