Darin Anderson Hays, 54, of Lovington, passed away at 11:01 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2020, at his St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur. There will be a Remembrance of Life 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020 at his daughter’s home in Lovington. Memorials may be made to the Lovington American Legion Post #429. Darin was born July 25, 1966, in Colorado Springs, CO; the son of Jim Hays and Margie (Minor) Woods. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and working on his 1969 GTO Judge. Darin worked at CHI Overhead Doors in Arthur for many years. Darin is survived by his mother, Margie Woods of Quincy; step-mother, Tina Hays of O’Fallon, MO; daughter, Darian Hays of Lovington; Brother, Randy (Kathy) Hays of Camp Point, Brian (Becky) Hays of Camp Point and Tobey Hays of Quincy; sister, Lindsay (Duane) Schreack of Carthage. Darin was preceded in death by his father and step-father Bud Woods. The family would like to thank the Gillis Family, Morgan Hays, Bub and Tina Webb for the care they provided Darin.
