Jane S. Haibach

Jane Siddall Haibach, age 82, of Springfield, PA formerly of Upper Darby, PA
died Sunday, November 1 st , 2020. Jane was born 18 August 1938 in Summers Point, NJ while her parents (the late Jennie and Frank Siddall) were vacationing in Ocean City, NJ. Ocean City, NJ was a big part of her life. Her parents and relatives would rent a house for the summer here year after year. Throughout the summer many relatives would come visit. This continued into adulthood and her children got to enjoy the same experience. Jane was a graduate of Upper Darby High School, Class of 1956. She then went on to Millersville University to pursue a teaching degree. She graduated in 1960 with a BA in Education. On 22 August 1959, days after her 21 st birthday Jane married William Haibach at the chapel on the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. Jane began working as a 1 st grade teacher in the Norwood, PA school district from 1960 – 1965. Jane left teaching upon the birth of her first son Tod that was born on their 6th anniversary 22 August 1965. On 12 February 1972 Jane gave birth to her 2nd son Mark. Jane was very family oriented and wanted to be to be a very active part in her children’s lives. She attended every school function that her children were ever involved in. This included being a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts, wrestling matches and Art shows. Jane was always one of the first parents to volunteer to chaperone on field trips. St. Michael’s Episcopal Church was a very important part of Jane’s life. She was very involved with the church for many, many years. She was a member of the Vestry and was the Rector’s Warden for over 30 years serving under numerous Priest’s. Her years of service to the church has made her a pillar of the church. In the church you will find many items or plaques with the names of many of her family members. Jane loved to travel. She spent many summers going to Cape Hatteras for a week or two with family. She loved traveling the country by car in which she got to experience 47 states and a large part of Canada. Took several Cruises one of which took her to Alaska. Lastly, she took a trip to Hawaii while her son Tod was on assignment there with his family. Jane and Bill tour all of Oahu with Tod and family and then went on to see Maui and Kuai. Jane always loved to sightsee while traveling, loved museums, caves, zoos, theme parks and any other point of interest she found interesting. Jane loved animals, she had two Shelties and a cat through the years and she loved to spoil them. In addition, she loved when her children visited with their dogs. She would play tug of war with them or just pet on them as long as they wanted. Once her children were grown and building their own families, Jane volunteered at the Riddle Thrift Shop for many years. Jane is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, her son Tod and wife Lorie, her son Mark and his wife April, her seven grandchildren Jessica, Cody, Nicole, Kyla, Erin, Dylan and Xavier and lastly her great granddaughter Keana. Jane Siddall Haibach was loved by all and will be endlessly missed by everyone she ever touched in life. She loved her family and friends more than anyone could ever imagine. She always saw the good in people and would do anything for anyone.

Interment services will be held at Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.

Masks are to be worn to the Visitation, Funeral Service and Cemetery.   Social Distancing is to be observed.
