James Maurice Jackson

James Maurice Jackson, 72, of Manchester, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020 at the Dove House in Westminster. Born December 14, 1947 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Maurice Elnathan and Mary Alice Rich Jackson. He was the husband of Marta M. Becker Jackson, his wife of 16 years. Mr. Jackson served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He had worked as a Claims Authorizer for the Social Security Administation. He was a member of Hampstead Post 200 of the American Legion. He enjoyed playing golf. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his two sons, Christopher A. Jackson and Brent W. Jackson, both of Mount Airy; three sisters, Brenda Cornelius of Catonsville, Sandra Charlton of Arbutus, and Mary Little of Woodbine; and brother, Andrew Jackson of Reisterstown. A service will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at the Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery Chapel in Owings Mills. Family and friends will gather at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead for procession to the cemetery. Interment will be in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
