Iva Jo Harrison -GFH

Monette- Iva Jo Harrison, 86, passed peacefully from this life on Friday, October 30, 2020 at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro with her daughter and great-granddaughter by her side. She was born December 7, 1933 in Fifty-six to the late W. A. and Gertha Corter. Iva was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a faithful member of Monette Assembly of God Church where in years passed she sang and played the piano. She loved most of all her Savior, Jesus Christ, her family and friends which she had many of. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, playing dominoes and she was an avid fan of St. Louis Cardinals. Mrs. Iva worked for many years at Ken's Drug Store in Monette. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dub Harrison and a sister, Hazel Tilley. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Parrish of Monette; two grandsons, Mark Parrish (Kay) of Monette and Michael Parrish (Kassy) of Bono; three great-grandchildren, Kasey Rollins Eakins (Daniel), Kyle Rollins (Jamie) and Tosha Parrish; a great-great-grandson, Callen Eakins and soon to be here Owen Rollins; two brothers, Don Corter of Lake City and Jim Corter (Nancy) of Jonesboro; three sisters, Mary Eidson and Shirley Cloud both of Monette and Betty Arnell of Coronado, California; A graveside service will be 2:00 pm Monday, November 2, 2020 at Monette Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Shawn McElhannon officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home.
