Syvonna Lynn Compton
Mrs. Syvonna Lynn Compton, age 59, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Thursday (October 29, 2020) at her home. Born February 12, 1961 in Fort Knox, Kentucky, she was a daughter of Marietha Lorene Compton Dotson Casteel of Honaker and the late Luther Dotson. A lifelong resident of the area, she was of the Baptist faith, loved animals and spending time with her family camping and fishing. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie “Buck” Compton. In addition to her mother, survivors include one son, Richard Corey Mathis of Telford, Tennessee; one sister, Tammy Deel of Lebanon; one brother, Tim Dotson and wife, Vicie of Bristol, Virginia; niece, Stephanie Miller of Abingdon; nephew, Jared Fuller of Roanoke; several great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.Obituary
