<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Christos Tsoumbas, 96, of Highland Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on October 30, 2020. Christos was born March 9, 1924 in Salmoni, Pyrgos Elias, Greece. The second youngest of eight brothers and sisters, Christos served in the Greek Army during WWII and was captured by Italian forces occupying Greece. He later studied and worked as a survey engineer with several prominent engineering firms in Greece.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">He worked for Einstein- Moomjy, the iconic floor covering and furniture retailer in Paramus, New Jersey for nearly 30 years before retiring to Boca Raton. Christos enjoyed traveling, entertaining, and making people happy. Always ready with a smile, he brought great joy and warmth to all who knew him. He was a great storyteller and loved the history, traditions, music, and dancing that were part of his Greek heritage. His engineering background came through in almost everything he did and he was always ready to meet any challenge that required a creative solution.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Anastasia Sirimson, her daughter Melina Sirimson, his daughters Eleni Tsoumba and Monika Tsoumba from a prior marriage, and grandchildren Christina, Yiannis, and Avgi, along with nieces and nephews throughout the United States and Greece.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at St. Mark Greek Orthodox Church in Boca Raton. The entombment service will follow at Boca Raton Mausoleum.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">In lieu of flowers, those who wish may consider making a donation in memorial to St. Mark Greek Orthodox Church of Boca Raton or the Alzheimer&rsquo;s Association.</span></p>
