Jo Ann Day

JO ANN DAY, age 76 years of Pittsford, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home in Jackson. She was born on February 19, 1944, in Huntington, West Virginia, the daughter of Charles, H. and Hila J. (Staley) Boothe. Jo Ann married Ted C. Day on October 29, 1993 in Toledo, Ohio. He preceded her in death on September 29, 2010. She retired from MCK in Quincy. Jo Ann liked to knit, read books, sewing clothes and her favorite pastime was being with family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving are her 12 children, Darlene (Mike Ash) Clark of Hudson, Jannie Jacisin of Pittsford, Bill (Robin) Clark of Wyoming, Mary (Hank) Williams of Hudson, Billee Jo (Bill Whitehead) Clark of Pittsford, DeWayne Clark of Hudson, Rose Ann (Leonard) Ward of Bath, Ted Day, Jr. of Bath, Alex Jennings of Bryan, Ohio, Terry (Corby) Day of Pittsford, Chris (Larry) Shorthouse of Hudson, Cathy Collins of Reading, 38 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, two brothers, Charles (Linda) Boothe of Onsted and Joseph Boothe of Hudson, a sister, Belinda Sawdey of Hollywood, Florida and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, twin grandchildren in infancy and a sister, Mary Cook. Private Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 31, 2020, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Hudson with Dr. Samuel E. Wickard officiating. Burial will follow at Lickley Corners Cemetery in Wright Township, Hillsdale County, Michigan. Public visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M till 12:30 P.M. on Saturday prior to the funeral. Due to Covid-19 pandemic and social distancing guidelines only a limited number of guest will be allowed in the chapel at a time and mask will be required.
