Jonesboro- Ola Virginia Kirk, 74, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at her home. She was born May 6, 1946 in Marked Tree to the late Donald and Stella Jones Platt. Mrs. Kirk worked at Jonesboro Schools in food service. She enjoyed her time with Jonesboro Kindergarten Center and loved serving the kids with a smile on her face. She would do anything for her grandchildren and adored her great-granddaughter, Elizabeth. She will be remembered as caring, selfless, hardworking, and loving and loved to laugh, dance and sing. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Stringer and Robert Kirk. She is survived by two sons, Randy Stringer (Wendy) and Gary Stringer (Nan) all of Jonesboro; three sisters, Sylvia Platt Hampton (Charles) and Georgia Gann (Darryl) all of Marion and Linda Whitted of Russellville; a brother, Ricky Platt (Cyndy) of Marion; grandchildren, Courtney Stringer, Jacklyn Stringer, Josh Stringer and Jacob Stringer all of Jonesboro; eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be 10:00 am Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Pine Log Cemetery with Courtney Stringer officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. All attendees must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
