Donna R. Nalesnik Obituary

Donna R. Nalesnik, 81, of Nesquehoning, formerly of Lansford, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Maple Shade Meadows in Nesquehoning.  She was the wife of the late Steve Nalesnik, who passed away in 1999.  Born in Summit Hill, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Eleanor (Christman) Derby.

Donna worked for many years as a sewer in various garment factories in the area.  She was an active member of Meed’s Memorial United Methodist Church in Nesquehoning.  She loved her grandchildren dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.

Surviving are sons Thomas Sommers and wife Alana of New Tripoli and Brian Sommers and wife Catherine of Auburn ME,  stepsons Mark Nalesnik and wife Jacqueline of Lansford , Bruce Nalesnik and wife Koreen of Nesquehoning,  grandchildren Stephen Sommers and wife Angela, Brian Sommers and companion Andraya Rowan , Craig Sommers and wife Rebecca and Heather Urquiza. Step grandchildren Jeffrey Herman and family, Melissa Gagnon and family, Eddie Gallagher, Nick Gallagher, Amanda Dunkelberger, Jannelle Schaeffer, Jordan Schaeffer, Lena Nalesnik,  Great grandchildren Steven, Victoria, Ariana, Ellison, Rowan, Xavi and Joseba.  Step Greatgrandchildren  Eddie Gallagher Jr., and Piper Gallagher. She was pre-deceased by a stepdaughter Lynn Schaeffer.

Memorial Services be will be announced at a future date.
